South Western Model Engineers Invitational Run
On the 3rd weekend in October we hold our invitational run, where we invite all other like minded clubs to attend our railway for a weekend of fun.
The dates for 2026 will be Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th October. The park will be closed to the public on Saturday but Sunday we will be open to the public under our current running structure.
70th AALS Convention
Cobden Miniature Railway will be hosting the 70th AALS Convention from Thursday 2nd April to Tuesday 7th April 2026. All members of AALS affiliated clubs are welcome to attend.

New Year’s Eve
An affordable Family fun Night is organised each year on New Year’s Eve. There is no entry fee into the park.
What’s happening on the night?
- Train rides from 5pm until late, at a cost of $3 per person per ride for anyone 2 years old and over
- Hot and cold food and drinks will be available to purchase
- Picnic facilities available
- BBQ’s available for hire
- Limited disabled parking
- No bookings required!
